Hold on there...
A while ago, I was looking up summer shower or sun shower for my previous post. The top links were for a camping shower on Amazon and the Wikipedia entry. I went to the wiki, not the Amazon link. This is important to remember.
A few minutes ago, I decided to add a book to my Amazon wish list. Calling up amazon.com, I discovered that the "Recommended for You" items at the top of the page were these:

Okay, that's weird. I'm pretty sure I went nowhere near Amazon, and I'm certainly not interested in buying a camping shower at this point in time. Are Google and Wikipedia getting a kickback for allowing Amazon to set cookies that let them pitch you the next time you visit, based on your searches? I'm keeping an eye on this. What will come up for me in the future? It seems like a passive invasion of privacy to me. Yeah, I get it, Google doesn't have to give a damn, you're not invisible on the Net, and the world is a cold mean place. Doesn't make it right, especially if I don't know they're doing it.
Or maybe I'm just being paranoid. Wouldn't be the first time.

When I order two calendars on January 1, I don't see how hard it is to get them to me before January is over. Oh, they can get Justin Timberlake to you in three days, but a calendar? Don't be silly! They've also been promising me my Ringu Anthology, but they sat on it for weeks before, allegedly, shipping it on Monday.
Once they kept me waiting for a particular book for two months. It was some small press book I couldn't find anywhere else, so I waited and waited. They they e-mailed me to say they just didn't have it. WTF?
Oh, I have such horrible problems! Shudder! (Throws hands up into the air)
